English Language Evenings

English Language Evenings (ELE) is an independent, open, public lecture forum in Moscow. For ten years, ELE has hosted 100+ speakers from 12 countries: ambassadors and attaches, visiting professors, international journalists and heads of institutions. The founder of the ELE is Moscow based author, essayist and editor Stephen Lapeyrouse.

LOCATION: Lectures are held in Chekhov Library/Cultural Centre: Strastnoi Bulvar, 6, Moscow (Just north of the Metro Chekhovskaya street exit -- across from the large cinema at Pushkin Square -- look for the "6" on the building; go through the tunnel/arch to the back side of the building. Take the first gate/door immediately as you exit the tunnel).

TIME: Lectures usually start at 19:00, followed by questions and answers, discussion, comments, etc; and end about 21:00.
